Resurrection was the "in" thing. Hera resurrected folks and Poseidon got way crazy with it. People would pass out in Greece then leap up yelling I resurrected (only in Greek). They had Resurrection Parties at Domus qua vos Vomitus.( house where you puke) It was the rage. Like watching Brittney Spears breasts get huge.
The Greeks got so into resurrection that they built the Schola qua Resurrection est doctus or roughly translated. School where Resurrection is taught. Also known as Schola Theatrum quod professio or the school of theater and art.
Now in Babylon there were roving resurrectionists that went from village to village and resurrected for food. Paid in food they would raise the dead (but not really dead) but they had a system You had to pay the right types of food to get whatever being you wanted resurrected, resurrected, You know. Grapes for cow resurrection. Lettuce for pig, Pork for people. See how it worked?
Resurrection was the rage in Egypt too. It was the IN thing.
Welp. I hope this helps you laugh. I know it helped me. Toodles

Mud: I'm a Christian and I would say, thousands. The prime or main difference being that Jesus did exist, did die [murdered], resurrected from the dead and IS ALIVE today. What's the deciding factor for Christians having the Resurrection "in the bag" ? God the Father ... that's Who. There is "tons" of evidence [scientific] proving that Jesus did experience all of these things.

Since there is a devil and he did know that Jesus would die and be resurrected from the beginning of the world then how many resurrection myths he created to confuse people doesn't really matter.

Death and resurrection was a common concept, considered to be a sign of a god as only a god could overcome death.
'Gods' who were resurrected:
Tammuz
Adonis
Osiris
Mithra
Attis
...oh and some bloke called 'Christ'. A bit of a newboy on the block!
