Do you think it would be a good idea to garnish the wages of illegal aliens, if and when they try and buy real-estate, apply for legal status, or any other way? They owe us. Some day they will be legal and they will have to pay us back.

NO NO NO - Get the $$$ from the EMPLOYERS of the aliens at 1000% interest. these aliens take advantage of what to them is a great opportunity. the employers are acting out of greed only, not NEED.

Its difficult to do that when 99% of the illegals here in Arizona are paid daily and in cash. All the illegal that is paid by check would have to do is simply move to another job.Its a good thought but difficult to enforce Id think. But the thought behind it is very commendable.

Actually JB they aren't,many company's like Swifts hire them because they have fake, copied ,shared or stolen Social Security cards.

No one forces the illegal alien to come to this nation,no one holds a gun to his/her head and says you must work for low wages. They do that all on their own. They exploit themselves.
They can either go home or stay in their own country. Its their own choice.

The few illegal aliens that do pay taxes with a TIN don't deserve anything back because they are illegal. And any money they pay in is not enough to offset the cost of their demand and use of schools, health care, entitlements, and incarceration. The cost of the illegal aliens far exceeds the amount they pay in taxes.Even the sales taxes on things they buy .It simply doesn't equal out.

Wages of illegal aliens should be taxed so that they could contribute to the welfare fund of USA. If not, garnishment is the right action but must be commensurate to the taxes.

great idea if they actually got paid legally..the problem is they get paid under the table so that us dumb Americans don't know it.. Even if they all became legal tomorrow..there is no way in Hel- that they could ever repay us for all the money they have stolen from us..in welfare, jobs, crime, time spent in jail on our taxes, education for their children, free college, free housing, etc. and as long as politicians like Bush are sitting on his AZZ in Congress and doing nothing we will continue to pay for the illegals to live their "better life".

You can't garnish the wages, because all wages to illegal immigrants are paid under the table.

yes, if amnesty is provided, it should be provided with a fine. Everything that illegals have ever taken advantge of as a whole should be added up and then divided amongst all the people granted amnesty. If they refuse to pay, they get deported. Sounds fair to me. End of story.

Sounds great!!! I'd just rather they were all garnished out of my country until they could come here legally with the proper respect for our laws, our people, our country, our language, and our way of life......Thanks for asking though.

And guess what, illegals? It's not YOUR country, you don't GET a vote, and it's NOT up to you to decide. That is unless you try to apply for citizenship and do it the hard and time-consuming, but LEGAL and RIGHT way.

I think we should be doing a tax audit on said people. IRS does not mess around like immigration does
