I think its because they are under so much more pressure these days to perform, to fit in and the incidence amongst teens of bullying is increasing. Unfortunately many still do not recognize that young people can and do experience depression with or without suicidal tendencies. Many think that unusual behavior, silence even cutting are peer associated teenage behavior that they will grow out of....sadly many do not! Overworked and stressed teachers and school counselors don't always see whats happening and neither do parents and the kids don't speak up....its a vicious cycle!

I'm beginning to wonder if we're seeing the culmination of anxiety over divorced families + ADD drug addiction + anti-anxiety drugs + junk foods + lack of exercised due to too much technology. I believe America is raising (or not raising) a lot of unstable children. Teenagers have hormones and things going on and need a stable home life to guide them through their turbulent teen years, yet how many have it these days, and how many were given drugs instead of parental attention?

cause their hormones are crazy and its hard beeing a teen, i would not like to go back to my teens it was hell for me. i dont know how i ever got past it. so much u have to deal with, teens and kids have it the hardest. im not a teen no more but i can undestand them.

I was 23 before someone explained to me why suicide was a sin.
"its Murder" I felt so stupid for not seeing it that way. But there it was a cold truth that I didnt think of it that way. Maybe teens are ignorant to that fact. As in its to them so it different.
But then again you didnt limit that to suicide that just how I saw it.

they commit suicide from all the domestic violence and child abuse and all the stress from everyone
