I would go, but I'd be sure to take some really good medicine before hand, and shower and wash my hands really well right before leaving (not just in the morning and call it good). Then take some Purell hand sanitizer with you and lots of kleenex so that when you do sneeze, it's not in your hands, and you can sanitize your hands wherever you are.
I'm sorry for your loss. You deserve the closure, cold or no cold.

That depends, how close are you? How do you think the family will react? Is this an excuse because you really don't like funerals? I hate them. You really need to go. If you have to go early, which they usually let family members. Go early and try to not touch anything and tell relatives why you want to go early and if one or two want to go with you in spite of your cold, that is up to them. At least you showed your respects and didn't infect everyone and if people know you came they won't use it to cut you down. So, do that and talk to a relative or two about it. So sorry for your loss. Hope you feel better soon.

There is joke about cold
A person suffering with Cold went to his doctor for treatment, and the doctor said "if i give u treatment, the cold would go in a week's time, as otherwise it would go by seven days"
There is an old adage"Feed the cold and starve the fever"

i would go. Take meds though. and if someone does get sick, i think their imune system would probably kill it of it's detected.... but yeah. You should still go, but don't cough into your hand and shake hands afterwards and if you need to sneeze, cover your mouth with a kleenex. just some tips we should all now :)
