Quietly observe how your other coworkers treat/react to the one you find annoying. On close observation, you should be able to tell how others feel about the person, to see if you are the only one who finds him/her annoying. Avoid gossip and talking about him/her behind his/her back as much as you can. Besides, even if the person is annoying, that's not necessarily grounds for firing so you'll be stuck with that person as long as you work there.
