Right well i just washed my hair with cold water. I had a bath and used all of the hot water, so i used cold whilst washing my hair. I would just like to know if washing hair with cold water is any different to using hot water.
I wash my hair using REDKEN, thats a fab brand- this is from my hairdresser and is way better than the high-street brands, after washing my hair i used the hair dryer on HOT, would this make any difference?
All awnsers appreciated, no SPAM please! Thanks
MERRY CHRISTMAS XX

I think the only time you need to wash your hair with warm water is if it's very oily. In that case it would probably help to use warm. But cold water seals the cuticle and all the hairdressers I know recommend at least rinsing in cold water after washing to give it shine. If you can take the cold more shine to you!
Also, after blowdrying on hot, give it a minute of the cold setting to help the cuticle reseal again. Good luck!

I have always been told that if you use lukewarm water or cold when rinsing hair is better it is suppose to make your hair shine more. Did it make yours shine better? Don't know about the hair dryer on hot, but don't think it would cause any drastic change unless your hair is damaged. If hair is damaged don't think I would use the dryer on hot. Merry Christmas to you as well.

warm or hot water opens up the hair follicles. Cold hair snaps them shut. That's why when you rinse out conditioner, be sure to rinse with cold water so your hair retains some of the moisture from the conditioner instead of it all washing down the drain. This keeps your hair healthy, shiny, and less frizzy/fly away.

Hair should be washed in lukewarm to cold water. Hot water dries it out and causes frizz.

Actually, I think that cold water is supposed to make your hair shinier. Your hair is actually made of layers of cells, and the cold water makes them lie flat instead of being messed up. the flatness makes it shiny. I think...; )

cold water adds a ton of shine to your hair. You could also try rubbing ice cubes on it if you want even more shine

I don't see why using cold water would be a problem. I think it would be fine. Marry Christmas to you too. :)
