What do you think? I'm walking out of Kohl's and I pass a car with a unique bumper sticker. Its a Christmas Tree with a nativity seen inside it. It says,"Keep Christ in the season." Do people actually think that Christmas trees have anything to do with Christ. There were no Christmas trees in the desert, never have been, never will be. Its equally funny that this person is contributing to the capitolism that has ruined the spiritual aspect of the season. If you have this bumper sticker, TAKE IT OFF!!!

I've no problem with Christmas Trees, and I couldn't care less that they are not original to Christmas.

Christmas is NOT pagan. It is Celebrated at the same time as a pagan Holiday. Is Jewish Festival of Lights also pagan ?

CHRISTMAS TREE:
The first Christmas tree was conceived in Germany in the first half of the 700's. The story goes as this; "a British monk and missinary St. Boniface was preaching a sermon on the Nativity to a tribe of Germanic Druids outside the town of Gesimar. To convince the idolators that the oak tree was not scared and inviolable, the "Apostle of Germany felled one on the spot. Upon falling it crushed every shrub in its path except for a small fir sapling. Boniface, interpreted the fir's survival as a miracle, saying let this be called the tree of Christ Child." The claim of the Pennsylvania Germans to have initiated the Christmas tree custom in America is undisputed today.KNOW YOUR FACTS BEFORE YOU ASSUME

I think the whole meaning of the nativity seen inside the tree was saying..........hey.......not so fast, along with that big bright tree and all those gifts, remember to whom we are here to celebrate "his life" ....Jesus. It was a subtle way, but did get you to think about it...and of all the commercialism that the Christmas season has now become. Remember as you say...the spiritual aspect, as the bumper sticker was saying.

Merry Christmas

Tree is the meaning where we branch off from Adam and Eve's family and become the branches of Christ with all family trees this one is just a simple picturesque like the heart and should be a Honor like the American flag, but if you can come up with a better ideal then put it on your bumper.

The person with the bumper sticker is using the christmas tree as a symbol of how materialistic christmas has become. He is trying to say that in all of the maddness of the material christmas, you should try to remember that it starts with Christ and ends with Mass

The Christmas tree actually represents forever alive. The evergreen is just that. It is always green and lives all year long.
Now of course the tree we put in the house is dead by the time you put it our to be taken away but the meaning is just that it is ever green meaning that Jesus Christ is always and forever alive.

All of God's Blessings to you and your loving family
Blessed Christmas

No, i'm no longer surprised. Its the internet. there is the comedian tale it replaced into invented for people who've comments that don't depend. yet heavily, lack of understanding runs from the two facets of the political spectrum. The term czar is basically an casual term utilized in gov't for top gov't expert. no longer something like the czars of the previous Russian empire. The term has been used to describe gov't officals a minimum of all the some time past to the circumstances of Richard Nixon.

Technically I think the tree came from the legend of Santa Claus; when he got married to Mrs. Claus they decorated a pine tree when they got married in the woods. (I love Christmas movies!)
