These people are really stupid. The guy is lazy for not posting a good picture of himself. And it scares girls off if there is a picture of his ex online. Most of the people who answered this questions are idiots!!!

Only you can decide whether to leave or not. You ask why he did it but there is only one answer: he did it because he wanted to. I know that sucks but the sooner you and he can both grasp that, the better. No excuse he gives you will suffice or make you feel better. :( I also found my husband looking for "intimate encounters." I forgave him (he said he didn't meet up with anyone) and later I learned a lot more stuff about how long he had the profile and that he lied and eventually did cheat. We did divorce. I never trusted him again and still don't do this day. He really broke my heart. If your husband wants to commit to you he will have to end all of that because it is a form of cheating. Get into marriage counselling. I never ever had any reason to doubt my husband so I was blind-sided when I found out the truth. Good luck.

The guy should just crop the girl out of the picture entirely.
He's trying to respect her privacy by not flashing her identity on the internet, and still show that he's a good friendly type of guy that girls like to hang out with and trust.
Trust me, I've seen faaaaar weirder things on online dating profiles... including a guy who claimed to be a Renaissance man, but couldn't spell it! I mean, he wasn't even close, it was really pathetic.

The most weird thing about online dating profiles is that some people lie in it about stuff. The reality is far different from what they write it to be.

A screen capture of the star from "Napoleon Dynamite" as the guy's picture of himself.
I'm thinking - if he really wanted a date, why in the world would he use THAT as the representation of himself?
