Wow, after 5 years with this girl, SHE (keyword- she) asked me to marry her! LOL! I couldn't believe it. However, I just am not ready to get married yet so I flushed the ring down the toilet, a whole $3,000 she just wasted. Not only that but she can be someone else's headache. Did I do her wrong?

Well, Yeah you did do her wrong. I mean, if you didnt want to marry her then thats all you had to say to her. You could have just sat her down and had a long talk with her about it. I mean you were with her for five years? If you cared about her to be with her that long then why would you do something like that? She obviously loves you well loved in this case. I think you have a lot of growing up to do, think about all the hard work she put into buying that ring. You should pay her back and apologize and maybe she wont hate you .

Yes if you flushed $3,000 dollars down the toilet. That was beyond rude. You should've explained that you weren't ready for a lifetime commitment. Flushing the ring was a total act of disrespect. And imagine the how hard it was for her to propose to a man in a society where a man is mostly suppose to propose. And if you thought of her as a headache you didn't deserve a her and why would you stay for 5 years. That was wrong.

Its not what u do its how u do it just remember that. By saying no u did right b/c u knew u werent ready and by saying yes you would both would have wasted and money on something not there. You shouldnt have threw her ring down the toilet though you could have just gave it back so you were wrong to say no but then trash the ring put yourself in her shoes if you proposed to her and she said no you would at least expect the ring back so its not wrong you said no its wrong u threw her $3,000 away that she wasted on you....

Yes you eally did her wrong. I know that the ring was supposedly a gift but regardless you don't throw something like that down the toilet. You give it back to the person and tell them that you don't want to marry them. If they want tyou to keep the ring then keep it or sell it, but don't flush it down the toilet. You did her real wrong. And if she ws such a headache to you then why did you stay with her for 5 years. You basically led her on for five years and then you end it completly wrong. Iwouldn't be surprise if somewhere along the line she finds you and kicks you in the balls.

If part of the reason you dumped her is because she asked you first that's really lame. But if you just didn't love her and didn't see yourself living with her forever than you did her a favour by refusing to marry her. You sound like you didn't even like her at all in the first place. that's 5 years of both your wasted time flushed down the toilet. I think you did yourself wrong by being five years and not expecting to marry sooner or later.

So what's the point of being with her for 5 years? Isn't it just a waste of time if you're not going to make something of it? You could have been a bit smarter about it and said, let's wait a year more. Although at this point 5 years should be enough to decide whether she's right for you.
