Well, I'de like to be asked out first by a compliment and a boy saying "Hey ( In a shy tone ) would you like to go out with me?" or "Would you like to be my girlfriend. But don't wait for the girl to make the first move because she won't. And remember when you make the compliment, walk away for a few minutes.

first start talking to her,start getting to know her.then when u think the time is right,ask her on a simple date,like "u want to got to the movies sometime?" later u can ask her "Will u go out with me".

you have to deffentialy be asked out in person. if its over the phone/ text message/ IM or email thats no good. he can bring you something that you really like when he ask you out to show you that he really cares about you =) thats always cute
