Send it in for repair. It ain't the camera that isn't smart.

some camera only works with a certain batteries.... I'm not sure why... but it's pretty weird too... i used to have a camera and I'm using a lithium batteries for the camera... then... one time... the batteries is out and i can't really recharge the batteries because it's just too old... so, i just bought a regular batteries that i can find on the regular supermarket..... when i put the batteries in... the camera is on... but when i try to take some picture... it's just dead... I'm not really sure what's going on... but... i went to the camera store and buy the exact same batteries that i used before... and the camera works fine...

so... probably you can try using the same batteries that you use for the camera when it's working... if it's still not working... there might be something wrong with the power... you can ask someone to repair it... or... buy another one... :)

Probably broken because my Sony Cybershot had a similar problem. As soon as I turn it on, it stays on for a few minutes, and then it turns off, even though the battery is brand new.

if you're just using regular double a's or something resort to some other batteries specifically made for digital cameras. regular batteries just don't supply enough battery power.
