Okay....here is the detail on what is happening with myself where I live. I live with some friends and I was intruduced to someone they knew because I wanted to meet her. Afterwards they started telling me about her and saying that I shouldn't be with her because she would never be able to become a productive member of society and because I could do better. What do you guys think I should do???

It's always nice to have your friends' support, and I would listen to their opinions, but ultimately it is your choice! If you want to get to know her better, you should. Maybe afterwards, you will come to the conclusion that your friends were right, or surprise them that they were wrong. :)

If you want to get to know her then do just that. Don't let friends discourage things you want to do. I mean you never know what she could be about. I would just get to know her and then YOU MAKE THE DECISION NOT YOUR FRIENDS...
Sometimes friends are right... Sometimes they are not.
