Do you read it for giggles? or, DO you crack at the advice they give because you think the stats are fcuked up; not true; out of their as s?
Have you ever actually taken advice from them on sex; love; boys/gals , and it back fired? Or do they work miracles to some extent?

I think it's entertaining, but I am kind of unsure about their advice.

I don't like the magazine. The advice is pointless. I do though look at some of those magazines to see clothes (I'm definently not a trend follower, but sometimes they have cute ideas) although the quizes are stupid they're fun for laughs. And when they put supposedly 'hot" guys in their magazine, I don't find them attractive. Pretty much a waste of ink..

I have NEVER met/known/heard of a person that has been polled by ANY magazine like this. Who are these people, and where do they get these stats? Furthermore, how is it that you can answer 5 questions and they all the sudden know all about you and give you life-changing advice? On that note, here's some life-changing advice: stop reading glamor magazines, they are hurting you psychologically whether you know it or not. They are published to make money by preying on your insecurities. Look at the front cover of ALL of them. They always ask you some loaded question to get you to question yourself so that you buy their magazine to solve this problem that you NEVER EVEN HAD before you looked at the magazine. Am I right? Remember that they get paid by making you feel bad about yourself - fact.

My mom used to be a subscriber, it is/was one of the "raunchiest" fashion/society magazines out there. In fact, grocery stores here have been covering the magazine with a black piece of plastic in recent years.

It's all ridiculous. Articles on how to build up your self-esteem and work on professionalism are juxtaposed with articles on how to please your boyfriend, get a perfect manicure, lose weight, et cetera. It's hypocritical nonsense, very limiting. Also not very different is Glamour. All I know is one of them has the "Do's and Don'ts" page, where they basically tell grown women what to wear, how to style their hair, apply their makeup, and penalize them should they fail to comply. Every time I read it I feel as though my intellect has been insulted directly.

statitics and polls are all bs, anyway. the answers you receive are calculated ONLY from responses of those who are the type to subscribe to that given magazine. And most magazines are just more attempts to create more buyers and consumers. I don't dig it.

Alot of their sexual advice I already knew or tried. Sometimes the stuff is repetitive. I enjoy the funny stories and the other stuff though.

COSMO is fluff only. I would not be likely to take their advice, especially on dating, sex or men.
