I'm Asian, Chinese Asian to be exact. I have short eyelashes, and hardly ever use make up, let alone mascara. However, you could find mascara that 'lengthens' eyelashes (in reality they just make the eyelashes look longer). I've used Collection 2000; its not bad, because it doesn't dry up inside the container easily, but that being said, it takes a while for the mascara to dry. I avoid mascara in general because it makes the eyes look even smaller than it already appears to be. Try white or metallic coloured eyeliners on the inner corners of eyes instead, it will 'open up' your eyes. Hope that helps!

The natural look is a great look!
Prepare for a long answer. All of mine are, lol
This is from one of my old issues of Cosmogirl magazine. It had an article about African American, asian, indian, and hispanic skin tones. I saved the African American one, and guess what? The asian one was on the back!
1)an eyeshadow primer will help shadow cling to your lids, adding depth to creaseless lids. Spread a skin-colored base from lash line to brow bone(I bet Wet N wild has some cheap ones, but I think any cream eyeshadow should do). Feel your lid for the top of your eyeball, then run a medium-shade shadow from lash line to that spot, tracing the curve of your eye.
2)Eyeliner can seem to disappear if you have no eyelid crease. Using a super-skinny liner, make short, vertical dashes btwn each of your top lashes so that your lash lines look dark and full. Try using Covergirl or maybelline
3)Curl and lift and lift straight lashes with a curler. Then immediately coat with a waterproof mascara(try using Loreal Volume Shocking 2 step mascara $13)
I typed this quickly and probably made some mistakes. Email me if you have questions.

I'm a chinese as well so I struggle with the same dilemma as you - single eyelids, small eyes...sparse and short eyelashes.
I use Avon Astonishing Lengths mascara, plus Maybelline Sky High Curves, plus Lancome Primer (I forgot what it's called but it's white) , plus Lancome Amplicils in waterproof black.
Sounds like a lot? This is what the Japanese girls do as well to make their eyes pop. Mix different mascaras to mix and add up their "strengths".
Apply in a zig zagged manner and get one of those heated curlers (battery operated). They'll curl your eyelashes in a no-fuss no-muss manner after you have applied mascara.
A black eye liner as close to the eyelash as possible also helps.
Good luck! :)

Ohhhh,,,,,,
Are you sure you want to do that?
I am Asian too and I don't use make up at all.
Just a little eye shadow and lipstick for special occasions.
Asians typically don't need mascara at all.
But I guess it doesn't hurt to try it.
CoverGirl is pretty good but I like Lancome.

Covergirl just came out with a new mascara thats in a red tube. My sister has been using it and they gave her gorgeous eyelashes. Her eyes are small too.
Another good brand is Maxfactor.

u need to use black/browm mascara instead of black... black will make ur eyes smaller lookin and because ur asisan u dont need that,, another tip is that u should invest ina white liner and pencil the corners of ur eyes in that to make them look open and wide
