Hi. I'm coming into my last year of highschool now. I want to start getting better marks at school but I'm not sure how. I have written a few Excellenance essays, but have basically just wasted time over the last four years, with talking in class and not finishing my homework. I want to kickstart my year with better study habits and quality of work, that will carry me right through the year, so I will remember everything I need to know for the final exams before I go to University. I will only have to study Art History(if I get in!), Social Studies and English.

I find it hard remembering and absorbing information, although I know I supposingly learn faster doing things visually.

Any suggestions on how I can bring my grades up to scratch next year, and do my best?

thanks!

=)

im a high school student myself and its going to be hard to change. because you have not been finishing your homework in past years, it may be hard to start. But what helps me is to go straight home after school and get my homework done then. It helps because you're learning not to procrastinate and you can get it out of the way early without having to worry about it later. also when you hear that you have a test in a class a week early, study a little every night before the test, it will help, trust me. i know it will be hard to start off like this but as time goes on you will benefit from it. i hope things go well!!

start off by talking to your teachers and maybe organizing a once a week review session, most teachers are always happy to help you. your school also probably provides free tutors ( people in national honors society have to tutor ) so take advantage of this and get a tutor. make sure to do all your homework, and that you put forth alot of effort. blowing off homework assignments is what can really drag some peoples grades down. good luck!

The most powerful thing in the world in intention, so start by intending to do your best and not giving up on that intention no matter what happens.

Inform your instructors of your intention. Communicate to them your level of commitment. Ask them to be a resource for you and suggest resources to you.

Ask your parents if they will pay for and help you find tutoring.

Get enough sleep and have a healthy diet to help your brain function well.

Never give up. Never give up. Never give up.

Good luck.

you're run *** round with a contact boy who's probably a administration freak. damage it off and tell him why --- each and each and all the topics you do in evaluation to. tell him you'll re-evaluate in about 3 years, in line with threat he will strengthen up or be out of reformatory with the help of that element, because of truth that's the position he's headed. no man or woman who pushes you into coroners and tells you he desires to rape you is taking section in. Take that as a severe probability. Rape isn't a comic tale.

well, i dont no about u, but im more of a visual kinda learner. like i would be studying for my history test, then when i'm say , trying to learn the defination of civil war, then
1. look at sumthing on my desk or on my wall or sumthing as im trying to memorize it
2. picture the civil war picture in my mind.

if ur more of a oral learner,
listen to sum music or sumthing(but not loud) or say the defination out loud

if ur more of a do kinda learner
then make action for the thing, or like hug one of ur teddy bears or sumthing while ur doing it.

so when u have a test or sumthing just remember wut u did when u were learning it.

be more organized too. like im not organized but i have a lot of binders. like i put math, english, french(spanish) together. science, history, geography together. health, art, computers or other together. and music by its self. that way just go thru the binders. and colour code them too. like blue for math, english, french(spanish), red for history, geography, science, white for other, and orange for music. that way u can just go blue, no homework, red, oh yeah science homework. and plan ur time. u mite have to take out sum things of ur schelduele. but keep it simple like, anything homework in blue binder ill spend about half and hour. in total ill try keep it to two hours every night. and on weekend the afternoon. sumthing like that.
and lastly, listen to ur teacher, take notes, and make mental notes. hope that helps and good luck!
