A women is on trial for throwing he 3 babies into the bay so they could go to heavin. She new they would go to heavin and believes God told her to sacrifce them and yet we call her crazy. How do you know. We got commandments from a guy who talked to a burning bush and heard voices. Why wasn't he crazy? We are told not to believe everything we read and yet many would believe everything in the bible, a time when we couldn't explain many things by conventional reasoning. Tragically 3 children are gone. I argue the woman is as sane as anyone who believes in a merciful God. I know most of you will explain he is not responsible for our choices. He doesn't seem to be accountable for anything. How conveiniant. Oh yea there was that one Adam and Eve gig but then someone ate an apple. Downhill from then. Talk about holding a grudge.

If heaven is so good why aren't you all pulling the trigger. I can't believe any sane person would believe this was the best option for the kids and that is God's plan. You want a blameless God so you feel no guilt. Still I pose the question...Who's to say God didn't say to here, "drown them, they'll be better off." why not, hey, give them up for adoption take them to a relative, abandon them on a busy street corner?"

As if it's SANE to eternally torture the great-great grandchildren of someone who ate some fruit.

How about accepting responsibility for your OWN sins and forget about those of Adam and Eve's?

EDIT:
Why don't we just "pull the trigger"?
Because we happen to think that life is a Gift from God, and we are not just here to kill time, but that we actually have a purpose for our lives!

God is not some maniac who tells people to drown their kids, unlike some people who tell others to just "pull the trigger"!

SHE did the deed, and SHE alone is responsible! Let her try to bring God into the equation; only a FOOL would believe her!

Moses was to lead his people out of bondage God got his attention by using a burning bush, We watch T.V everyday and think nothing of it but a hundred years ago a person would of thought us insane for sitting for hours in front of a talking box. As far as a woman drowning her children for a sacrifice nonsense..she either gave that an excuse or is actually insane...if someone tells you to do something, test the spirit, if the deed is evil ,Satan is behind it.

God gave us free will and we are all responsible for the choices we make - good and bad. He knows, because He created us; that we're all sinners in some fashion and can not be saved without believing in Jesus. Therefore, it is our faith that saves us.

It's really that simple. The only one to judge us is God.

Again.. we may not agree with what people do, but it is not up to us to decide if it's right. All things happen for a reason; many things we can not and are not meant to understand.

Our free will is woven into His plan.

These are only my personal opinions as a Christian.

It is puzzling. How do we really know if someone says they are talking to God that they aren't? In BC if someone told you that God told them to..... it wasn't questioned? In the old testament God told people to do a lot of really strange things. And people just believed it. Guess we have grown skeptical over the eons. Or have people decided that God doesn't really talk to people anymore. Or perhaps the Bible is a fair to middling work of fiction!

Man has free will. God is merciful. If we look at the chaos in the world today, it is amazing that the ball of dirt is still here. But he will not make us obey.

As for the children: I suppose Heaven is better than here. Hell for the mom, may-be being denied the unconditional love of the children.

All good is from God. We know that it wasn't good to kill her children. If God was ready to take them, he would have. She took their life's in her own control. I would imagine that this lady may have needed mental help, since this is not a good thing i do not believe it to be of God.
Adam and Eve ordeal wasn't from eating an apple as you stated, it was about disobedience. God told them not to eat from the tree of knowledge and satan tempted them causing them to think that's not really what God said. Same as with today, If we are obedient to God we will receive a reward, if we are not obedient, the reward is taken from us. satan is always causing us to believe, thats not really what God said.

Understanding God comes form seeking him. The Bible explains that there is a way that seems right to a man and this way ends in death. This explains the lack of understanding about god from those that do not know him. To know God is to understand that he is righteous and merciful. He is real and is available for all who see value in him it is they who seek him and through that God provides faith it is a gift from God and through faith comes revelation. If we do not understand we have but to open our heart and seek the truth. If you seek the truth you will come to know God and understand his way and his purpose for his creation and his purpose for you. God created man knowing our limitations. He provided a way for man to be with him but he allows us to make our decisions. Through it all god remains both righteous and merciful. His righteousness calls for us to pay for our sin which is our death and in his mercy he provided himself to pay our penalty of death for us. God is not holding a grudge and even though some of us have nothing to have a grudge about we carry grudges that prevent us from knowing him. Edit: We are not pulling the trigger for the same reason God is not calling this world complete he isnt finished. God gave life and only he can require it righteously. God chose to offer a time of grace as opposed to requireing everyone to pay up the penalty of death. God himself chose to pay that penalty for us but everyone has not accepted the atonement. We live under the grace of God provided by the atonement of Jesus. Jesus did not come to judge the world but to atone for sin and offer salvation we now have a time of grace to accept his atonement that many can be saved. The day of judgement is not now but will come soon.

The children will go to heaven, and the mother will be judged for killing them. What more can be explained? Simple....and you can take that to the bank!
