Ms: This can be best answered by the illustration or painting of the "Last Supper" ... where all the Disciples lined up on one side of the table and posed while the artist painted the picture. This is not of likely to of happened ! These pictures of Christ depicting Him as Caucasian, are in error because the average Jewish baby
would not of looked this way but olive coloured skin tone. Jesus appeared and looked like any Jew of His time, as He had to be identified with a kiss by Judas Iscariot, to be arrested by the Roman authorities at the hand of His Jewish accusers. Jesus came from the lineage of the tribe of Judah [Jewish] - the "Royalty Lineage" re: King David ... etc. , down, to His time .
A very, Merry Christmas to you, "Ms" !!!

This goes back to when the images of Jesus (saws) first came about. I'm not an expert on the subject, but they didn't always paint what would be deemed as more correct, they painted what they thought was beautiful. You can also see in many Renaissance paintings of the Virgin Mary (ra), she is draped in fabrics that have Quranic inscriptions on them. Textiles were widely imported from the Middle East and Persia during these times, and they found them to be quite beautiful. Mary (ra) never wore fabrics with Quran, lol, but they liked them so that is what they used.

It has to with the actual incontrovertible truth that the well-loved those who painted those pictures concept he would seem as if that. it isn't meant to be racist or hateful of the middle eastern human beings. in truth, no one extremely knows what Christ sounds like. to say that portray him like that's racist and unfounded is moronic and unfounded., and to the fool who reported Christ would seem extra like Bin encumbered than Bush: Bin encumbered wasn't even from the same section as Jesus, infact he's Muslim and Christ replaced into Jewish. do not use your halfwit comments to prommote hate propaganda and politics!

Because Europeans are very Skin tone oriented, and cannot fathom that their vision of God should be any darker then a Norwegian after a winter in a cave.

I have no idea! But keep in mind that no one knows how Jesus looked, except people that lived in those days, that are now dead. These are just images that men created, that shouldn't be creating because its against the 10 commandments.

Because the majority of xians are white (westerners) and thus they want to think he looked like them. The idea that he was probably fairly dark skinned just tends to set some people off. LOL!

it because most painting done of him were done in the early catholic church which was mostly white so it looks better for the church if Jesus looks the way they want him to ie. white but your right he was most likely an olive skin color.
