Nothing will happen.

Anyone who looks at global warming with a critical eye knows that it is far from "proven." There are plenty of doubters out there, including in the scientific community. But they are ignored and we are told that scientists are in consensus about it. Never mind that it's a lie, but since when has consensus in science actually meant a damn?

Science is about proof and evidence. There was a time when the consensus was that the earth was flat. There was a time when the consensus was that the heavens revolved around the earth. There was a time when the consensus said that man will never fly. Scientific proof has proved these wrong.

Just in the last couple of weeks, the UN has revised downwards by 25% it's estimations of global sea level rise due to global warming.

The earth goes through natural warming and cooling cycles, including periods warmer than now, even before man had much of a footprint on this planet. Somehow, nature, and man, survived just fine.

Don't fall for all the global warming doom and gloom stories. Man has been predicting environmental doom for decades. Remember Erlich's Population Bomb. The world was supposed to be plunged into worldwide famine back in the 80's. Billions were supposed to die off because the planet could not sustain us. Did it happen?

No less than 4 times in the past century has the media sounded the alarm about climate change. First it was global cooling, then global warming, then cooling again, now warming again. Do you sense a pattern here? We go through cooling and warming cycles, and the media jumps on it and tries to scare the hell out of us. The global termperature has been cooling since 1998. In about 10-15 more years, the alarmist media will notice that we are going through another cooling cycle, and sound the alarm again about global cooling.

What would happen if global warming continues? Okay, with the assumption that global warming is true, it's gonna be bad. Temperature plummeted up, river runs dry, plants and vegetation weathered and die, living things going extinct, all gacier melts that will cause the ocean to rise in elevations and flooded all lowland habitation, these are only an example of some devastating effect. Aren't these sound horrific already? How about the unimaginable chain of event as a consequences?

There are lot of critics and skeptic regarding this topic but I urge everyone to keep an open mind. If it's all a media and scientific community lies what have we to lose. But if it's all true, shall we wait for the consequences before we do something? Shall we wait until you and me pay the prize? What is wrong in lowering our green house gasses? What is wrong in a clean environment? What is wrong in planting more trees than we cut down? What is wrong in finding a better source of energy without destroying the environment?

There is nothing to lose in saving our environment, our mother planet, the greenest one we've ever known, but everything to gain.

The coastal areas might be submerged a little bit with ocean water. That's why only liberals care about global warming. The east and west coasts are where all the liberals and socialists live.

I live in a cold state, 900 miles from the ocean, so I welcome a little warmth :)

Also, Canada will probably become a world power, because their ice will melt and expose all of their oil and natural resources.

Countries at the equator will not notice that much, because it's always hot there.

Now that I think of it, I also hear that all the fish are dying, so the oceans will not rise after all. With no fish left, the ocean levels will go down.

Check out some global temperature web sites. They show the earth's temperature has only risen 1 degree (F) in the last 1000 years. What global warming?

My name is Rafael Lomena. I write from Alicante (Spain). I am independent investigator on the Accelerated Global Heating and want to share with all something that can turn out from interest to fight this phenomenon.
I believe that the main cause of the Accelerated Global Heating is in the great and increasing forest fires that are whipping to the planet in the last years.
My complete report is in: http://inicia.es/de/rlv/clim.htm...
If they do not understand the Spanish they can use the automatic translator that will find in the main page of site:

Thanks to all.

The same thing that happened during every other global weather change. Some thing will die and others will adapt. It has been going on forever, remember a thing called the Ice Age?

ever see the movie "Day After Tomorrow"? temperatures will continue to rise, causing more and more polar ice to break off, thus raising the sea level and reducing the salt content of the oceans. the added fresh water will cool faster because of the evaporation, and oceanic current will shift. this shift will bring the warmer tripical currents further north, generating super-cell storms. the cool, moist air will collide with the warm tropical air and... well.... beach front property will no longer be a desirable piece of real estate.

It will get warmer until it stops and global cooling starts, then it will get cooler.
