Try introducing Stephanie to new to new toys, if that doesn't help try to take away the bear when she goes out to places like the mall or preschool, but when she comes home, make sure to give her some type of reward. Stephanie is only three so it is normal to become attached. Give it time and she will grow out of the bear.

Unless it is physically harming or destroying someone, I don't see the harm. So she takes the bear everywhere? She has obviously humanized the bear, and has developed a bond with it. She will outgrow it. It will do more harm to just take it away than to let her take it with her where she likes. Eventually, she will tire of the toy or she will outgrow the bond and move on. She may even change the bond, where it is still a cherished toy and friend, but it stays in her room, and she merely sleeps wiht it. Don't worry about it.

She will give it up when she's ready to do so. Right now for whatever reason she needs the comfort that if brings and that's fine. Many children of that age have something that they drag around with them whether it's a Binky, blanket or a favorite teddy bear.

Why would you want her to get rid of it already? She's only 3 a lot of kids have blankets or animals longer than just til they are 3.
My oldest has an elmo that is with her at all times, he even sits on the side of the bath when it's bathtime. lol
She will grow out of it..

more than likely she is using it as a comfort item< my two year old has an Elmo doll that goes EVERYWHERE> there is no reason to take it away. the child will give it up when they are ready. i would suggest, however, to buy another one just like it incase the bear gets lost!!!

Ehhh, shrug, if that's the worst thing she does, who cares?? She'll let it go when she's ready, the more you make a thing out of it, the tighter she'll hold onto it. It's the only thing in her life she has control over at this age, let her have the bear.
Mommy needs to lighten up.... she's 3!

i wouldnt try to take it away all at once...not sure if she is yours but if she is i would start w/ bed time. make the bear a bed on the floor w/ blanket and see if she will let teddy sleep in his on big boy bed like she does. make it sound like she is doing it for the teddys sake. or maybe tell her that teddy wants to sleep w/ his friends in the toy box and slowly do it a diff times of the day.

What the f*ck? i'm thirteen, i'm no longer allowed to even think of approximately hairdye, and that i replaced into in basic terms allowed to get my eyebrows threaded some months in the past! If she replaced into at that style of salon, then i'm assuming she replaced into getting her eyebrows waxed, and that i'm no longer allowed to try this till i'm 18. useful, my mom's somewhat strict, yet i'm happy she's no longer as trashy of a determine as that woman's mom!
