Whether one believes in it or not does not make a fact any less true. But, I happen to believe it. Besides, if one accepts the Bible as truth then one must accept the words of Jesus Christ as true. And He told us that He was dying for our sins. Hence, all Christians must necessarily believe that Christ died for our sins. It is a great gift, for we have all sinned (anyone who says otherwise is crazy).

By the way, a great summary of what Christians believe is the Nicene Creed. A good explanation of what each aspect of the creed means can be found here http://www.orthodoxfaith.com/doctrine_creed.html

Hope this helps!

No because I'm a muslim. Jesus did,nt die in Islam. He was replaced by a man that exactly looks like him.

Today's Bible isn't the genuine one. Jesus didn't speak English that time, neither Latin. He's an Israelite. The Holy Bible has undergone some changes since he died. Imagine Jesus saying "Father, Father why hath you forsaken me?" how would such a very good prophet or child of God with limitless faith will lose his faith?

Qur'an is still genuine and won't ever changebecause Allah promised to protect it from people who'll change it.

I'm a former born-again Christian. I converted into Islam because I know it's the real and genuine religion since the time Adam. Adam can never be a Christian since Jesus wasn't born in that time. Muhammad isn't the one who founded Islam, as most people think. He is just a prophet who continued the teachings of the other prophets.

If Jesus had not for our sins, we would not have been here. When Adam and Eve sinned in the beginning, they should have died right away, but for the provision made in the promise of Genesis 3:15.

15 And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.”
It is interesting that the word "yi" or righteousness in the old Chinese character, or the Cantonese, is a combination of the
component "lamb" above "I/me". In other words we cannot attain righteousness except through the sacrifice of the lamb covering our sinful selves.
And in the Quran, Surat al-A'raf 7:26 it amazingly says:

O ye Children of Adam! We have bestowed raiment upon you to cover your shame, as well as to be an adornment to you. But the raiment of righteousness,- that is the best. Such are among the Signs of Allah, that they may receive admonition!

(7:26 Ya banee adama qad anzalna AAalaykum libasan yuwaree sawatikum wareeshan walibasu alttaqwa thalika khayrun thalika min ayati Allahi laAAallahum yaththakkaroona)

Jesus Christ died to free us from the slavery of sin. How?

Adam was a perfect man but has sinned and so sickness, old age and death came into human lives. In order to bring back that perfect life that Adam lost, we need a perfect life to cover it up. This was how the blood of Christ has been poured down, in atonement to the sins of many as a ransom sacrifice.

Jesus paid for us with his life, we are no longer slaves of sin but we can have a perfect life again as Jesus showed during his ministry on earth, he healed the sick, gave the blind sight, let the lame walk, feed the hungry, even brought the dead back to life. It is what he and God, his Father, will do for us when in their Kingdom rule.

You better believe I know it! You know, it's really sad that some people have never even heard the name Jesus Christ. And, sadly, there is no way to prove it; it's just a little thing called faith! And technically He died so we can be forgiven of our sins, it's our choice to repent of them, so we do take our own responsibility, thank you!

well it's a nice gesture if it's actually true however could jesus have been crucified because the jewish pharisees and the roman empire feared that he was leading some kind of revolution and that maybe he was just a prophet and was being punished like i said because if you look at it historically speaking the roman empire used to crucify people for what they considered grave crimes such as speaking out against the roman empire and julius caesar or for not paying their taxes it's just food for thought as i am an agnostic and try to look at all different aspects of religion and life in general and io know i'm gonna get alot of thumbs down for this answer but that's fine

because you believe Jesus died for your sins, u also believe that for sure you are going to heaven because no sin will be against you. I am not a chritsian, but i respect others beliefs, just i advice you not to take your life for granted and not do bad things just because you believe you will be forgiven and go to heaven anyways.peace

Amen! I too believe this and KNOW it is true- For the Love of God can match no other- nor can anyone compare to Him!

Romans 5:7-9
8But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.
