i've liked this guy for ages. in the past year we have kissed a few times, the last time was in july, he always gave off positive vibes and then seemed to get scared and back away. then last night we all went out for our staff xmas party. i decided to be brave and ask if it was ever going to happen, he said no, but then came over to see if i was ok, and then i told him that i thought it was unfair of him to lead me and and drop me whenever it suited him. later we were chatting and then he kissed me, in full view of everyone and was holding my hand stroking my hair and kissing my head, like a boyfriend would do. he later admitted that he did like me. he had to leave quickly as he was getting a ride home. I haven't texted him today, and he hasn't texted me. i don't understand what's going on? A guy's opinion would be good. Why would he act like that in front of everyone and then nothing? Should I let this one go? (I should say that I yesterday was my last day working there)

This guy is to afraid to be honest with you or himself. Unfortunatley some guy are just not that strong. You would most likely come to realize that if you started dating and you would lose respect and intrest. Move on you are better off.

the fact that you were brave and asked him gave him some motivation. but now that it's out there, just sit back and see if ever does anything else. I'd let it go for now, just to see what happens. perhaps if he sees you with someone else or sees that it didn't have that much of an effect on you he'll try again. remember, if that's what he sees, he doesn't have to know the extent to which you like him at this point.

one of two things are happening here
1) he likes you but is too shy to say. only you can know if he is the shy type of guy
2) hes using you for comfort. unfortunetly, some guys need the security. he might not want anything to happen between you, but just like the fact he can call on you whenever he feels like a friendly kiss, or gf for the night.
i say dont get your hopes up. if he wants you, he'll *** and get you. youdont need the heartbreak. if he decides to ask you out its a plus but until that time, find someone new and get over him
good luck xx

He's definitely not worth it. Think about it - if he really liked you it would have happened properly long ago. He knows you like him but doesn't act on it. He probably only kissed you last night because he felt a bit guilty and had had a bit too much to drink.
He's a git and he's using you when he feels like it

Off the top of my head, I'd say he's either very immature, or jerking your chain, or both. You need to tell him firmly but tactfully to either get straight with you, or take a hike. Believe me, he'll either stop fooling around and get serious, or he'll find someone else to toy with. Either way, the problem is solved.

He probably is abusing something he know that he can do. He knows you like him and you'll kiss him. Sounds like he wanted a little bit of action because he knew you wouldn't resit it, but he doesn't want to take you serious. Basically, it's probably an attraction to you, nothing more.

oddly enough, he's probably waiting on you to text him. men are strange creatures.. but from the advice of a man.. (sitting next to me) he says "drop him, he's not interested or he has someone else".
good luck!
