I'm a Spanish native speaker, but I speak the "rioplatense" variation, which is considered by many people as the most interesting and informal type of Spanish - so I prefer this one. I sometimes find it hard to understand people from Mexico, not to mention those from Spain :s

I couldn´t agree more with urmomscoo. Thumbs up.
Also alberto g is right. Spanish is spanish and NOT an italian accent because stops being spanish.

I would never pick Argentinian accent as favorite. Sorry.

I agree with you on Argentinian. I've recently watched a documentary on Argentina and the people and culture there seem very interesting. Italian accents are fun.

Spanish is just like any other language, if you don't used it correctly you will prostituted the language. But if you learned how to speak correctly, no matter the country where you learn it, it will sound beautiful. The correct Spanish language you could not learn it in the streets. Spanish can not sound like Italian or any other language because then it will not be Spanish. Good luck!!

Most people in broadcasting seem to prefer Colombian (Bogotá area), and Mexican Spanish over that of other Hispanoamericans, and Castillian Spanish from León and Salamanca over that of Andalucía.

The hardest to understand for me are Cubans from La Habana, Venezuelans from around Maracaibo, and Chileans from the south (Chiloé, Puerto Montt area).

I like listening to Rocío Durcal as well as Ana Gabriel. Antonio Banderas has a beautiful diction.

Woow, it seems to be much ignorante people this way... You are rigth about the italian accent in the argentian way to speack.

The thing is that argentian spanish is much different to the neutral spanish, they have a different pronunciation and they use diferent words (you: tu = vos... Are: eres = sos).

A lot of people hate argentian people (you can see it here), but i really dont know why, because we (the argentians) dont hate anybody, we hate only the people who offend us.

I'm sorry but the River Plate dialect (spoken in Argentina, Uruguay, and some parts of Paraguay and Chile, I suppose) is f.u.c.k.i.n.g annoying...

soft Mexican accent is good especially the elite people's accent from Mexico City but not that s.h.i.t.t.y. Mexico City street chilango accent. That accent is annoying.

I like how the elite from Lima, Peru and Venezuela speak.
They're pretty neutral in terms of accent/dialect.
