you can't , especially if he knows how to put on a good show, only in time can you really see what the person is all about, I have many guy friends and met some "respectable" men on the surface, but when u do a little digging, there is a lot to beware of. However, if he treats you well, kind, generous, well educated and respectful, that's a good start, right?

you can tell by if we are nice, we wont try to make moves when you dont want to, and you will know because there is always that felling that tells you if this is the right person. also the perfect guy will always stay by you no matter what he'll give you a shoulder to cry on and he will love you with all of his heart.:)

look at how he treats his mother--that's the only way. Also, how does he treat the waitstaff at the restaurant. It's how he treats other people around him that will give you a glimpse into his true character.

just keep watching and being around him over time. only time can tell you. just be patient enough to find out instead of making him to be something that he is not in your mind.

if he opens doors for you, listens to you when you talk, will take off his coat to keep you warm--and go around in his shirt freezing to do so... And, most importantly....(really this is key) if he doesn't answer yahoo questions
