If I had to guess I would say 1% or less. What do you think?

It is interesting you ask this because just yesterday I read a study that was on the front page of Yahoo saying that the number of people who have premarital sex is MUCH HIGHER than previously believed, and has been so, even since the 1940's. One reason for that today is that people are waiting so much longer to get married, often not till their late 20's or their 30's. Thus they date more people before marriage, and have more partners. I am sure if you look on Yahoo you can find the article. It was just out yesterday, and I think they said something like 90% of people have had premarital sex. They said that with those numbers it would be better to teach kids about safer sex than abstinence.

I would say the minority. I know men tend to be less likely to be a virgin by the time they are married. Im only 18, and i know at least half of the guys at my school, at my age, have had sex. Its kinda old fashioned, and boys don't tend to put that much value on waiting till they are married.

I would estimate a lot of people who wait for sex until they are married experiment with other things that dont involve intercourse. Because they think these things are not having sex. So I would estimate more like 15-20 percent might wait. There are a lot of religious buffs out there you know.

I believe more girls and guys are waiting. We have 3 teen-age girls and a teen-age boy ages 13, 14, 15 and 18 all are virgins and all say they will be until they get married or are much older. So based on my own personal experience there are people who are waiting.

the percentage rate is way higher you would be surprised i would say like 70 or 80% out of a 100% wait until they are married to have sex for the first time.

That is probably true. It is very rare today to find someone who waited till they got married to have sex. I didn't but I do believe that it is best to wait.

I didn't and i would advise anyone to have sex before they get married with the person they intend to marry, it would be terrible to find out they have really gross habits while making love, or their idea of fun isn't the same as yours
