I have been best friends with this guy for awhile, very close with him and all. We hug alot, and a bunch of people say we should go out because we would be a cute couple. I didn't think much of it for awhile, enjoying our casual flirting. I acknowledged the fact that i have a crush on him. For early christmas gifts before school went out for break, i gave him some candy. The next day, he claimed to have a gift for me, but refused to give it to me until the end of the day. At the end of the day when we were going to the buses, he handed me a little blue box, and inside was some really gorgeous necklace with matching earrings. I always knew he liked me but not that much. I want to know other peoples advice. Should I go for him or leave our friendship alone?

You should explore your relationship. Go slow so that if you see it is not going to work out you can remain friends. But on the other side if it works out great you found Not only a friend but a love. Good luck. And remember you are not going to get any were in life if you just sit and let things pass you by. Get out there and try what you want do not let the word failure into your life, you are only a failure if you don't try.

If you both feel the same way, and you two care about each other then go for it. But also think about the way that your friendship might change. I experienced the same situation, i told him how i felt but i didnt want to take it further because everything within our friendship is just the way we both wanted it.

awwww, that is so sweet. if i were you, i would go for him already. i mean that is what happened to me and one of my friends. but we never went out and something came wrong, we just stopped talking. but we're getting there again. yea like I said, GO FOR IT!!!
