Be sure to wash the racks as they may be dirty .. then use the vegetable oil for lubricating the grooves.

Clean them and your oven thoroughly. But y'don't want 'em to slide out too easily, because that'll mean they are unstable and improperly supported. That can allow 'em to come crashing down on the bottom element of your oven, and dear one, you DO NOT want that kind of fireworks! You'll wind up redecorating the house!

Double check the rack itself and the ledge it slides on. They may be greasy. If you cook a roast or chicken, it tends to throw grease so they may just need to be cleaned really good.

Use a little veg oil. It's like KY for your oven!!!
