I do not understand why liberals do not get this: being here illegally is a crime. Just because the cops are busy does not mean they can ignore a crime being committed.

The bill passed by the Senate is an amnesty bill. The Republicans in the House got it right, but they lost their majority.

Some of these answers goes to the biggest problem in society today: moral relativism. Just because the President does something wrong does not at all affect whether another action is wrong. More and less wrong are irrelevant. Right and wrong is.

All illegals want to talk about is how they have more opportunities in America. If so then why the hell was it that you dumbasses had your dumbass marches in America. Then had the nerve to wave your mexican flags. I mean if you loved it so much why didn't you march there? Nobody gives a damn about what you want. Your opinion doesn't even matter. You can't vote. All you do is steal our identities so you can get what you want. Both teams (Repub. Demos) are looking at the benefits of illegal laborers coming lining their big corporate buddy donor/suppoerter pockets. This will ensure the politicos not only bucks for their back pocket but also, a voting base of new, ignorant malleable voters. Unlike mostly experienced voters who demand proper representattion. Both parties are trying to get "There" first and claim the voter base and come up as the majority. To Hell with what will befall America next. This is the way I see it. Neither side is concerned one iota about how AMerica will evolve on a steady diet of dirt poor laborers and their backwards understandings, inability to learn English and their pre-learned tendency to do things in undisciplined, impetuous and criminal ways. The rest of us are taking the heat for our representatives foolishness. Write those SOB and tell em' you're mad as Hell and your are not going to take it anymore! If you do this, it will make you feel better, more justified/righteous when you take your blunderbus out of the closet, polish it off, load it up and head for the streets to defend your home, country and your rights!

The liberals want the immigration bills passed and put into law. The senate bill has already been passed. It was passed on May 25 2006. The house bill may end up getting passed since the democrats have the majority.

It's because their version of dealing with illegal aliens is to give them amnesty. Ignoring the federal law is not one of the purviews of the governor of any state.

It's a matter of priorities. The article clearly says that the governor believes the cops have plenty to do already by going after violent criminals instead of going after illegal migrants. I agree with that. I want the cops catching bad people, not people who are just trying to make a better living for themselves.

It's a man power issue, plain and simple. If the federal government wants state and local jurisdictions to enforce federal law then Washington must be willing to pay for increased man power.

It's SUCH a touchy issue. They (govt.) are SO afraid of 'whose gonna vote for me if i say or do this' issue that they make a stupid decision that will come back and bite them in the butt! I have a tendency to sound prejudice when I get on this subject - so I will not. Good luck!
