Take digital photos of your work and put them on your own website. Yahoo has GeoCities and it's free. You don't have to list prices, you can just state that prices are available upon request. After that, you'll have to advertise your website to get people to go there and take a look, right? Go to craigslist.com and post an ad under the proper heading. You can also post flyers in places where art lovers may hang out: book stores, coffee shops, etc. It'll cost a little bit of money to print the flyers, but it'll be worth it if you sell one. Perhaps just put a digital photo of one of your best works on the flyer with your contact info and post it in one of those places. or you can ask the local coffee shop if they would like you hang some of your work in the shop. A lot of small, non-chair coffee shops do this for local artists: they get something new to decorate their walls and you get a free place to show off your work. Most of the time, you can leaves business cards in the coffee shop with contact info, or post a sheet on the wall with the individual names of the artworks and their prices.
good luck.

I think the internet that is if you have an account with sbc or comcastic or whatever. Make your own webpage to include samples of your work.
If you want to do something face to face, see if any of the local galleries would be interested in your artwork. For this I think you need to make a portfolio.
You can also set up a showing at your house, your yard, local non-profit art events; festivals. Get on the internet or check out your local library for those events.

I like landscape photography. I picked up a book at barnes and noble that has a phone book size list of contacts to sell your art. It gives you the company information, how to submit your work and a price and terms that they follow. Good Luck!

IF ITS GOOD, IT WILL SELL. IF ITS CRAP, THEN YOU WILL PROBABLY SEEK SOME SORT OF GOVERNMENT GRANT FOR CRAPPY ARTISTS THAT CANT SELL THEIR CRAP AND WE ALL GET TO PAY YOUR BILLS BECAUSE YOU ARE A CRAPPY ARTIST. OTHER THAN THAT, TRY A BOOTH AT A POPULAR ART FAIR. THEY USUALLY HAVE THE EQUIVALENT OF SCOUTS THAT LOOK FOR GOOD ART
