I mixed 5 eggs with 3 cups of whole milk and put in 1 tsp. of vanilla and a cup of sugar and some cinnamin. I cut the bread in cubes (after taking off the crust) and threw that in there with some raisens to soak in the fridge for 1 hour. I dumped it in a dish now and I'm going to bake it at 350 in a preheated oven. My question is, will this turn out to be a halfway replica of bread pudding?

I don't see where the "half" of it would be. It WILL be a bread pudding. Without a caramel coating. Since it has nothing to cover it from the direct heat of the mold on the bottom, I would suggest you bake it in bain marie, i.e. inside a bigger oven resistant container with water raising up to about 3/4 or 1/2 of the mold containing the pudding. Good recipe. Nice touch with the cinnamon.

It sounds excellent. I cook mine in a hot water bath. I find that it doesn't dry out as much in the oven.
