The right headlight and fog light on my '98 Cherokee appear to be less bright than the other side. I've noticed this on other Jeeps while driving as well. The lights are always dimmer on that one side.

I've replaced the lamps and checked the fuses. I haven't checked the voltage to the lamps yet though. Any thoughts?

check for corrosion at gang grounds and for corrosion inside the connectors at the lamps this seems to fix them every time [damp salt air and driving on beaches are the biggest causes of this]

I never noticed this on my 99, are you sure it isn't just the aim point of the lights making it look like one side is dimmer?

How about checking the ground? It's been a problem for awhile but never made it to a 'recall' issue.
