If it was a relationship it deserves a decent and honorable burial. Make the trip to see that person or at least use a phone, though phones are tacky they aren't as low class as an email. Why do you think Dear John letters were really just a joke, a sign that your girl was a tramp and that you were better off without her?
Don't be her. A tramp isn't the kind of label you can easily ditch. Not like ditching the guy you got the label from.

If you don't have any chance soon to tell him that you want to end it, then the next best way is on the phone, even though is not a good choice, it seems like is the only one you have left, and if you do it by e-mail it would hurt him more, well good luck!

I see nothing wrong with doing it by e-mail. A lot of people do it over the telephone so it's just the modern way. It's also better for the both of you to do it now instead of letting the other person think you're still together. This way you can both get on with your lives sooner.

Never e-mail it. Always try to talk to them, either in person or over the phone. But e-mail is not the way to end a relationship.

What other option do you have. I guess if you are not going to see each other anytime soon, than the only way to do it is by phone call or e-mail. I would probably do it by phone rather than e-mail. But if you are not comfortable with saying it over the phone.....then sure. Go for it.

I just ended a relationship and I did it over the phone because we didn't see eachother much. He called me a few hours later and told me he was glad that I did it over the phone and not by letter or email. Don't do it by email because it says you are rude and stuck up. Trust me when most guys get break-up emails they start telling their guy friends and other guys that you are rude and stuck up. You don't want people to label you as that.
It's better to do it over the phone because it's more lady-like and it is the more polite way to break-up when you can't see him in person. Remember to be honest, polite, and not to sugar coat anything when you call him. I hope that it goes well. Good luck!

Call on the phone. If you've been going out a while, email is tacky and honestly the chicken way out. But since you're not going to see each other for a while, the phone is OK.

yes. write it well and be kind, sometimes it's better then phone or in person, you can be honest and gentle and apologetic. You want out of the relationship, so just do it in a way that is most comfortable for you. so both of you can move on.
Good Luck

Depends on how many dates you´ve had. More than 5 has to be person to person. Less, maybe a very nice e-mail, phonecall is better.
