Abreva! It's about $15 dollars at Walmart or any drug store at all. It will clear up any sore you have on you lips at all. If you can't afford Abreva then try Carmex. :)

The cold sore is a viral infection and there is no really effective cure to make it go away forever. It will flare up now and again when your body's defenses are low..ie when you have a cold hence the name.... In the uk theres a couple of competing products both of which contain actcovir as the active ingredient...ask your pharmacist for advice too.

There is a cream called Zovirax which can make it go away and it is even more effective if you start to apply it as soon as there is the first sign of it.

use lots of chapstick, also like orajel will help and meds like abreva,
but i dont have the money for abreva so i usually use carmex.
