I'm not a Nazarene, but do know that the church sponsors some alcohol rehab centers. So my guess is that they'd be against alcohol abuse.

I was raised in the Nazarene Church and my grandparents are retired missionaries for the Nazarene Church. I know that the church position is that any alcohol consumption is sinful. They believe (I think) that the "wine" spoken of in Jesus time was an extremely weak type that did not cause intoxication in small amounts...I personally do not agree with the doctrine. We live by grace and not the law. While I do belive the bible calls us not to be drunk with wine I believe it is God's expectation of us to know our limits and not to become drunk. I also believe we should not drink in the presence of those who would be offended by our doing so.

Drinking wine or alcoholic beverage, I presume? I won't speak on behalf of the Nazarene Church --since I am not quite familiar with THAT particular group-- but I'll say this:
One is not allowed to drink wine or cut one's hair WHILE performing a sacred vow, the "Nazarite's Vow", UNTIL after its completion...
Peace be with you.
