Have you ever heard the expression" you only hurt the one you love" Well if you didn't care about that person it wouldn't hurt you. You have to use your heart to get it broken. Love wouldn't feel nearly so good if it didn't hurt when it was over. Like the sun wouldn't be so bright if it wasn't for darkness. You get what I mean. Sorry for all the metaphores couldn't think of any other way to get the point across

Because they are probably scared that you will break there heart so they want to do it first trust me i did the same thing cuz i did not want to have my heart broken.
