If your employer is unwilling to insure the children not in state, you can get direct pay policies through companies in NY. You can look for a broker in their area, or you can go directly to the web site of the insurance company

Is it about health insurance??If so really make sure that there isn't a policy for will let you cover dependents out of state...Usually there is but you have to make the benefits office call or call yourself so you can give the benefits office a heads up. Be aware though it covers only for a short time...Now if your dependents are 18 and over...have them get a part time job with a university that offers beneftis.

If your company has a provision that allows you to insure your dependents, there should be a way to cover the children. If you are covered in Florida and have an accident in NY, your bills would be covered, so there is no reason why the children wouldn't be covered. Check with your HR department.
