The white blotches on your back and arms can be caused by superficial fungal infection called Tinea Versicolor. The white blotches can also be Pityriasis Alba. Pityriasis Alba is a skin condition where inflammation or irritation of the skin caused the pigment beneath to down regulate, thus white patches. Since I cannot see your skin I cannot tell what the cause of the white patches are. I recommend that you visit you local dermatologist. If you have Pityriasis Alba, this is treated with topical cortisone to stimulate the pigment to return.

If you go to the tanning bed, it could be fungus causing white marks on your arm. Same for people who sweaat alot. IF either applies to you, then try using athletes foor cream or spray to get rid of them. In the meantime, use cocealer. Also, there are certain medical conditions impetigo is one that cause white blotches and it can get worse. If you think there is a chance (look up pictures of it online) then see a dermatologist.

Are they actually white or are they just more pale than the rest of your skin? I had pale blotches on my arms a while ago, it was really weird. I used some heavy duty exfoliating stuff (st ives apricot scrub) and that evened out my skin tone. I think my skin was not naturally losing some of the dead cells, and they were making parts of my arms look darker, so it made other areas look paler. Anyway, try exfoliating!

The white spots are from the malenomia in your skin, there are differnt things going on. Micheal jackson had sever problems one reason he bleached his skin, he had to do it in europe due to regulatiosn on it. It's the pigment in the skin is not there, trying to tan will worsen it. If there small then don't bother with it. That skin being lighter is like freckles in a way, more sensitive skin. If you develope more spots and bigger see a dr, but stay away from the sun and tanning booths, people also use sunless creams on the spots to help with that problem.

If you go to a tanning bed then the spotts are actually a type of fungus transferred from the bed to your skin! You could go to a different salon w/ no fungus, and make sure to clean the bed before getting in! The spotts will go away in time! Hope I helped!

Is your skin dry in the places that you are white? I had a problem like this and I went to a dermatologist and he told me it was some kind of eczema. I would go see a derm. if it really bothers you.
