My sister has a serious problem with acne and she is using proactiv... Unfortunatley for her proactive has not improved her situation at all but made it worse! There are many different skin types that require special attention... Proactive is one formulation that cannot possibly maintain the needs of every skin type! My sister has takin pills, creams, face washes, etc! Drink alot of water, exercise, yoga has actually been proven to help clarify the skin! Also see a dermatologist... It is the best thing you can do! And DO NOT be embarrassed we are human and we should embrass our flaws... its what makes us real people! My sister is a gorgeous girl but no one would ever see that since they cant get passed her acne! Dont stress too much! See a professional! Dont use too many things when washing your face... Keep a simple regim! Im not a fan of cover girl... Neutrogena does have a blemish fighting concealer and powder... That I am using at the moment and it seems to be alright :)

I had bad acne as a teen, and for part of my early 20's, and the only thing that worked was straight water. No soap, no acne cream, nothing. I have very sensitive skin, and everything that I put on my face, including regular bath soap, would make it break out.
I wash it with steaming hot water in the morning, then I follow it with very cold water, to close up my pores. Same thing before I go to bed at night.

For acne control this is the best I've found so far:
" CLINIQUE Acne Solutions Cleansing Foam":
http://www.clinique.com/templates/products/sp_nonshaded.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY4913&PRODUCT_ID=PROD700
Use it as a daily cleanser, don't bother with all the 3 step process.
Also at night, apply Clearasil or Benzegel acne gel, right on acne.
You'll look great in a week!
For stress, listen to some of your favorite music that makes u happy!

Mary Kay's Velocity Cleanser and Moisterizer.......$22.00 for the set and it WORKS!!! I tried Proactive, Retin A, Nuetragena(?), Phisoderm, Nothing got rid of it, I thought nothing would till my friend gave me some Velocity and said "Just try it, If you don't like it, just give it back" Mary Kay has a money back guarantee. I had nothing to lose but my zits. I have been ACNE free ever since. Good luck. Different things work fro different people.

k wash your face with acne wash every night before you go to bed and wash off ALL of your makeup, especially around the eye region because you dont want to get any stys (sp? eye pimples). yeah, so wash your face at least twice a day, and they have acne pads that work good, but you might want to put on lotion after you use them cuz then your face gets dried out sometimes. it works for me

i'd suggest witch hazel. it's cheap - you can get it at cvs or anything like that. i used to get these nasty little breakouts on my chin before i started using it, but now they've died down. my friend recommended it to me because it worked for him. i'm not sure why it works, but it's worth a shot!
