My dad is in the hospital and Christmas is three days away! My dad always takes me and my sister to buy my mom's Christmas gift but we can't do that either! At this rate, my dad is going to be in the hospital for Christmas and my mom won't get anything! I'm only 13 by the way!

I am so sorry for your sad situation. But you have alot to be thankful for even if you can't realize it right now. Can you make your Mom something special to show her how loved and appreciated she is? Make her a special card to recognize all of her hard work as a mom. Parents get joy out of seeing the children happy at Christmas. So the thing that you can do for her is to be happy and let her know how special she is to you and your sister. Gifts that come from the store are not half as special as gifts that come from the heart. I hope your Dad is going to be okay and come home soon. I am a Mom of 6 children and I know that your Mom will love to receive something that you and your sister made with your own thoughts and hands. Merry Christmas Lil One! And you are a blessing and that is the best gift you can give to your Mommy!

With your Dad being in the hospital and your Mom spending time with him it may easier to make your Mom something. I think a coupon book is a great idea. You can put coupons for washing dishes, doing the laundry, cleaning the bathroom and different chores around the house. This will help your Mom during a difficult time and not cost you any money. Then after Christmas when your Dad is better you can get your Mom something else.

Dear 13 I want to first send my sympathies to you on thei christmas, I hope that all is well with you dad. Here is an idea if your dad is in the hospital if he is able to get up and walk around try going to the gift shop together and buying a christmas gift for your mother. If you are unable to do so then talk to your dad and get some ideas from him. Merry Christmas to you and your family and again I hope that all is well with your dad.

You didn't say if your dad was conscious or not. If he is, get him to give you his ATM card and go get the cash out of the machine, and also consult him about what to get. Then you can take your sister and go pick something out for your mom. It doesn't have to be perfect, your mom will appreciate your willingness to get her something. Also, in case you can't do this, keep in mind that your mom is old and wise enough to understand that the situation doesn't mean that no one cares about her just because she doesn't get a gift. If anything tell her that you love her and that will be the best gift she could ever get.

At 13 you should be able to get to a mall, a drugstore or even a grocery store and come up with some sort of gift for your mother. Have a friend's mother take you when they are going that direction. Buy a collage picture frame and insert family snapshots; buy ingredients and bake a cake, cookies, or make a special dinner. You can buy cologne, bath salts, socks, stationery, and a myriad of other appropriate items inexpensively at a drugstore. Be creative and give from your heart. Your mother is sure to understand.

You should talk to your dad when your mom isn't around and see what he had in mind to get your mom. You and your sister should try and make arrangements to have your aunt or grandma or some family member to take you to get the gift. Your dad will really appreciate you thinking of it. good luck and i hope you dad is well soon!

You and your sister could always get a different relative to take you shopping or arrange for the two of you to make something for Mom. It is the love of the two of you that Mom wants more than worldly stuff. Let her know how important she is to both of you and how much you appreciate what she does for you. Sharing your feelings is more important than presents.

Don't worry, your mom will understand. You could always give it to her after Christmas, many people do that anyway. Hopefully it'll be back to normal for you next year. Have a Merry Christmas, and best of luck to you.

First of all I dont think she will mind not getting anything. But if you really want to give her something why not make something ? You can make her a coupon book of things you could do for her like straighten up the house or make her a cup of tea or whatever it is you feel you would like to do for her. Then when she wants she can redeem the coupon. I think she will love it.
