I have Dark Brown hair. I want to do something different. I don't really want to dye the whole thing, just get highlights. What colors?

Honey blonde highlights are good. Dark brown hair usually had red tones where the honey blonde has green so it balances the look & the color comes out right. If instead your natural color has green tones go for a dark strawberry blonde. Plus when it grows out it's not as obvious. I use to be a cosmetologist before I was disabled.

Hmm dark brown....i'd have to say that the best look would probably be a mixture of a strawberry blonde color and sort of a sun kissed look...this will lighten up your hair but still leave it with a base of your natural color blending with the highlights

Well, some colors i personally think look good with brown hair are light or medium blonde highlights, or black, maybe?
Just go with whatever you think is a great color:)

I think auburn would look really nice with dark brown hair... or maybe lighter brown highlights. But I'm sure whatever you do will look great. :)

Put in blond and red...a good colorist will be able to blend your hair so it is 3 to 4 colors. It looks way better than just blond highlights.

Well, my hair color is also dark brown. I got chestnut high lights(light brown) it looks good, cuz my skin complexion anyway. I'm light brown. Try light brown and blonde, i was originally going to do that. Also, try burgundy.

im dyeing my hair in a light brown mixed with a redish color u should probally do that to it would good on anybody.

i say dont just get highlights.....you want whats called LOWLIGHTS they are the chunks but there done differently they bring out the shape of your face and the color in your eyes....on your color use a caramel blonde it will be gorgeous i promise i wish i had a picture but i dont. good luck with iut though-ashley

it would be so extraordinary but i have this fantastic idea; dye the bottom of your hair (the beginnings, not the ends) red.. just like that.. it looks so cool... try it.. ;)

get red highlights, they look nice, and most people get blonde so do something different. You can also try lowlights.
