I was wonderin' as I'm about to enter into something with a gal from this answers thingy, if actually meetin' via the net can result in something stable and healthy....anyone here got a possitive story to tell me to give me hope.....every one else put's it down.....

It’s rare that it dose but it can happen I met my man on a chat site we were both out of work at the time and had nothing else to do we’ve been together 2 years so far and I have never loved any one to this extent, since meeting him I’ve been in the right state of mind to 'pull my finger out' now im a model we live together and I couldn't be happier.
And if it doesn’t work out then at least you had fun and if you didn't then you’ve learnt your lesson it's just like dating but easier I suppose because you know if they want the same thing, I do hope every thing works out for you tow xx good

I know a few people who have met on the Internet and are now in very stable relationships
My friends dad met a lady on the net they have been together for about 5 years now they seem to be very happy so I can't see why it doesn't or wouldn't work out
It isn't really any different from going on a blind date or meeting someone in a bar you still have to get to know them after the first meeting, this way you get to know them a little (If they tell the truth but then again everyone can lie) before you meet them
So I wouldn't say no it doesn't work
Life is all about risks just depends what you think is risky!

I've only known one person who dated via the Internet--a family friend. She ended up getting married to the guy about three weeks later. They've been married since June, 2000. Of course, this may be the exception rather than the rule.

I met my girlfriend on the net about 5-6 years ago. We started dating April 05 and have been together since. We're living together now and I can't see anything going wrong.
So basically if you find the RIGHT person, It will work out.

Internet dating does work.
But it only works if both parties are dead sincere and don't play games. Finding someone who you like, care for and learn to love isn't easy - but it can happen.
I've successfully dated four women. The rest never made it to date level. One I currently live with. The previous three were very nice ladies but weren't for me in the long run.
The main secret is weeding out the riff from the raff.

Yes, It worked for me, I met the man that i`m now living with, we`ve been together over 2 years and planning on getting married next year.
Just be cautious, meet in a public place a few times.

Ive seen a few relationships on chat shows like jeremy kyle etc etc, and couples on there have usually met one another through online dating, so yeah i could work out, depends if you are truly compatiable. You have got to make sure you stay safe and make sure you are talking to someone who are what they say they are. Just be careful and i hope you find what you are looking for. JUST BE CAREFUL!!! It may take time aswell so make sure you dont go meeting up with some one, it takes time getting to know someone. Good luck !

My sister met her husband of 5 years online and they talked for almost a year before meeting. Things worked out so well that a year later they were married and are expecting a baby! They are as happy as can be!

Ive met my girlfriend over the interent and the only trime we talk is on msn. We have never met for real but we have been going strong for 3 months. And by the way we do know each other is real because we talk on the phone and have webcams etc.

Yes I know a few people who have met and developed healthy relationships. The point it there are normal people on the web, but you just have to look out cos there are lots of weirdos...it is harder cos you dont know anything about them except what they choose to tell. It might help to meet their social circle- family and friends to see what kind of background they are from and if they are the sort of people that you feel comfortable with.
Just be wary but dont be too cynical. And let us know how it goes. x
