The cheapest pint of lager i have ever come across is Fosters for £1.50 at Bar Suede in Carlisle. The cheapest pint of beer was John Smiths for £1.10 in the same pub. Don't go there though; its a very very scummy pub.

I agree with the notion of a price register.
I pay £1.50 per pint at my club in Letchworth, Herts, and they still make a small profit.
So pubs charging over £2 are ripping it out.
Mainly because of "the taxman".
A decent cool pint in the Sultanate of Oman is about 80p
I rest my glass.

A very good question.
£1.44 for a pint of good Carlsburg
£1.95 for Carling Black
At The Grapes. Green lane, Netherton, Merseyside.

This good question should be turned into a national price register for all to use and report local prices and trends.
Just like the petrol price register.
