Last night I was in bed and I went to roll over and I put my weight on my right leg to push myself up to roll over, and I got this SHARP stabbing burning pain about mid-thigh towards the outer edge of my thigh. It felt like something just ripped inside! It subsided in a couple minutes, and now that area feels weird--kinda numb and tender at the same time. If I twist my leg just right when I have weight on it, I can feel a slight 'tugging' in that area, as if it wants to do the stabbing pain thing again. What did I do??

Some small veins might have burst which will cause
the burning sensation. Take some aspirin and keep your leg propped up. You could ice it for awhile then apply
heat to keep the muscles from tightening up. If it is really painful and you can't put your full weight on your leg then
you should go get medical help.

Sounds to me like you strained a muscle. I'd suggest putting ice on it if it happens again. Have you been doing strenuous activity or anything different? Are you over weight? I think a trip to the doctor might be in order if it happens again.

Leg cramp - eat bananas or potassium.

I don't think you've pulled a ligament or muscle.

You probably pulled a muscle. See your doctor get some therapy that will probably do it for you.
