I asked this same question to a couple mormon missionaries and they gave me a great answer. They said it made sense because god didn't ccreate man till the.... what was it sixth or seventh day and that he had the time between the day before and that day to create and kill off the dinosaurs. Of course at this point I had to butt in and say hey hey hey the dinosaurs lived for a bazillion years and they told me that in the days when they wrote the bible nobody would understand a bazillion years but a day is something that everyone understood so it wasn't actually a day it was just a measure of time that everyone understood. Pretty much it wasn't literal- it was figurative. So I thought that was a kind of plausible story but you still don't see me married with 23 kids- oh no the missionaries failed....

I especially liked the answer from the guy who doesn't believe in dinosaurs!! haha- you're right dude there were no dinosaurs and there was no evolution!! haha Donnie Osmond says so!!!!

The dinosaurs, and all other animal life, were first formed spiritually and then temporarily before Adam was created. Genesis is quite clear on this.

The dinosaurs may have died out as a result of the Fall brought on by Adam and Eve when the earth itself underwent traumatic and monumental changes, preparing itself for the world that our first parents must live in once cast out from the Garden of Eden.

This is purely conjecture as the Lord has not revealed anything in detail pertaining to the demise of the dinosaurs.

On day 5 God created all the sea creatures and birds. On day 6 God created all the land animals. So, which dinosaur are you talking about? A plesiosaur? Day 5. A T-Rex? Day 6.

There are so many factors that can change the answers for the tests scientists do to figure out the age of something. When it comes time to interpret what those tests mean, then their beliefs jump in and they interpret the data based on their beliefs. If they are old earth, they adjust their scales for an old earth interpretation, discarding any young earth data. If they are young earth they adjust the scale based on known events. (both do this for things they know by historical events in the last 4000 years), but young earth see other points at which to fix the scale (like the flood, if they found something with Herod's name, biblical timeline, etc.). (This is kind of like how they fixed the scale for Celsius, they used fixed points and measured off of those).

It's simple, God created the dinosaurs. In Job the end of Job chapther 40 the author describes a dinosaur. Later on he talks about the leviathon. The Bible doesn't deny the existence of dinosaurs. Dinosaurs just died out before the rest of the books were written.

You have a picture of a dinsaur to share with us. I never seen one. I've seen some bones and at one point in time a dog bone was found as a part of the display when the science became higher so they could test these fossiles out.

If a scientist can mistake a dog bone for a dino bone, then I'll wait for the science to mature a little more before I give it any real credibility.

I heard that all life forms were gigantic, including Adam and Eve because the pre-flood atmosphere was richer in oxygen. So to the people then, Dinosaurs were just plain old lizards. Many of them most likely died out do to drastic changes in the atmosphere and I guess some of them shrank.

They were the day before but he changed his mind and had a meteor hit the earth to change the climate and kill most of the first batch of things. The people who wrote things down did not care all that much about recording all the stuff before God got around to making us.
Like when he had Noah build the Arc coz he wanted to kill off most of the people who had strayed from him.

When the Bible was written humans were unaware that dinosaurs had ever existed because there was no science of paleontology. That should tell you something.

I think they were probably just like any other animal that became extinct over a long period of time. Just like certain species of animals(tigers, etc.) are supposidly becoming over hunted or whatever now.
