Does meeting someone you've never met appeal to you? Or would you rather date a friend?

Meeting new people is always fun. When you go out it's great to go out with the intent of having a good time and see if there is some chemistry between the two of you. Most of the time you will have a great time, but you will not have that romantic chemistry (I'm speaking from experience). There is nothing wrong with that, as long as both people had a good time and nothing was pushed (such as sex) on either party. Maybe if one person is pretty desperate it will show, but there are ways to defuse the situation so they don't go home frustrated and upset. Going out with a friend is, of course, more predictable, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's more fun than going out with a stranger.

Me and my wife of 28 years started out as a blind date. I'm glad I went.

One weekend in 1990, I was set up on two blind dates. One stood me up, the other has been my beautiful, wonderful wife for 14 years.

I've used a dating agency and had a few blind dates. You tend to wait for the date and every time a horror walks towards you, you say to yourself 'Please God, don't let that be them'.

Ive been on two blind dates, one was frankly ugly and the other was ok. Its very nerve wracking and I wouldn't do it again.

i have been on a few blind dates before...it really all depends on how the date came about or who introduced you two and how it all came about.
