I know this guy who I really like, and everytime we see eachother, we kiss on the cheek, and when we say good bye we do the same. Many times, if I havnet seen him for a few days he'll come up to me and pick me up, tell me I smell 'amazing' and then kiss my neck a few times. Then he goes right back to the casual kiss on the cheek to say goodbye.
What does the random kiss on the neck mean, and I was wondering if I could get any insight on theis from guys or girls, because I do like him, but I dont want to make the wrong move if thats not the signal he's sending.

Maybe I only like him cause he pushes my buttons that way. We have never talked about it and idk.
btw were in college and we live on the same campus. So for my own like peace of mind I guess, I wouldnt want to just hookup with him because we would see eachother alot and I know I would end up getting hurt.
At the same time I want to try something.

The neck is a rather erotic area for girls and as a guy, I have always liked kissing a girl there, I like to kiss my wife there and she enjoys it.
My guess is he is flirting and trying to see if you like him in more of a b/f g/f way than just as a friend.
When we tell a girl/woman she smells nice, were not asking her to play baseball, that's a comment that says we find her attractive and usually want to date her.
Here's more on my guess based on my memories of dating.
This is something I would have done when I was sending a signal that I wanted to perhaps be your boyfriend or date you. He probably does this and is waiting for a signal from you like, "oh that was nice" or "you can kiss me there when you leave too".
If your not shy and are comfortable saying those or similar, I bet he will be thrilled to know you like him too.
You could just smile softly and when he leaves gently kiss neck, we like that too, or softly kiss his ear, just softly, not aggressively.
I think he really likes you!

Sounds like he's testing the waters. Either try to bring it up in a conversation (your feelings or the neck kissing) or wait a bit and see where he kisses next.

When a guy starts on my neck he is usually trying to get me on my back (or some other position).
Try responding favorably to him and see what happens.
Let him make the moves and just respond. If he wants you he will go untill you stop him.

If he likes to smell you and to kiss you in the neck...well, he likes you as well. That is definitely a sign that he likes you. Easiest way to find out is to talk to him, tell him that you like that he may continue to kiss you.
