Better than on the middle of your bed like mine did. Good thing I was home to throw down some old towels when I realized she was going into labour. When she was finished I left her alone for a bit then, went and moved the babies to the spot I had picked out that was out of the way. She didn't move them from the new spot and when my other cat gave birth, she had hers in the new spot. It was actually pretty neat to see one mother feeding both litters. They would take turns! Ok i'm getting off topic here. He He just keep an eye on her. Mine let out a funny moan/growl that I'd never heard before and it was showtime!

You need to block off wherever you don't want her having them. Their favorite place is in the back of a closet. Find a quiet closet and keep the door open. Make sure it's not in a busy area of the house and is warm and she'll probably have them there. As far as choosing her a place, you can make suggestions, but she will ultimately have them where she feels they are most secure. Good luck and congrats on the babies!

The cat will look for a comfortable spot that has lots of soft bedding and cushions. If you'd like to have her deliver in a box, put in blankets and stuff that will make her feel that it's good to have her kittens there. Don't put it in a very obvious spot, the cat will want to have privacy, afraid that a predator might come and steal the newborns.

if under the couch is where she feels most comfortable, then it's probably going to be under the couch, unless you know about when she's due and lock her in a different room until she has them. If you do that be sure to provide a nice box with bedding for her to have them in.
When I was a kid, our cat had her kittens in an old dog house outside. She didn't let us know where they were for a few days. then one day she kept meowing until my mom followed her and brought them into the house.

Close to her having her kittens you could clean a corner in a dark closet and place a box there with shredded paper or towels in it. Show her the box. If it is away from what she considers danger she may feel safe there. If you have a basement and she goes there frequently place a box away from traffic in a corner and she may like that place. If you have a desk or dresser near the corner of a room that can accommodate a box place a box there. If you give her several options with comfort she may very well chose one of those places.

Try making the most inviting bed to a cat as possible. She may not have them there, but you can put her there if she starts having them.

well you can expose her to a safe quiet area like a closet corner and set up a comfy sheet for her.
If she can get in and out of there easily and you dont desturb her she may have her kittens there.
feed her wet food there sso she gets familiar with the area.
no guarantees tho
