I just had to send an answer to Mike S.... men do have yeast infections; you're just immune to their symptoms. I got a very bad, in fact, the worst yeast infection I ever had. It had me in the fetal position on the floor. And when I went to the doctor, he said that this particular type of infection was carried by men, but that they are immune to it. Thanks a lot guys!

Oh, and women should not douche, ever, for any reason. It strips you bare of all your natural protections from bacteria and diseases and you're going to get something way worse than just a yeast infection.

Assuming it's just your normal, run-of-the-mill yeast infection, there are many products at the grocery store that you can purchase to treat your infection. Monistat was what my doctor used to prescribe before it became an over-the-counter product. If the home remedies don't work, you may have a more complex infection and should see your doctor. Side Note: The one day treatments are rather strong, in my opinion, and I had more problems with the treatment than the infection! Stick to the 3 or 7-day products. Good luck!

You might try a "Monastat" douche or "Summers Eve", it may work if it isn't to bad. Don't try any of these goofy home remedies that some write on here. Then start drinking cranberry juice and taking some Yogurt twice a day, do not douche with it as some might say, it goes in the other end. About four ounces of cranberry juice with help the kidneys. Stop smoking if you are.

Yes, ma'am! The brand name is called "Monistat" and you can get it at your local drug store. It comes in 1, 3, and 7 day formulas and the cheaper store brand versions work just as well.

Take care!

Vinegar or yogurt. I've used vinegar, and it has worked at the beginning stages. Not if it's more advanced though.

Actually, both of the above are good to do. One in the morning and the meds at night.
