First of all is better you see a physician because any special diet just can be medicated by an specialist.
Anyway I can tell you that I lost about 25 pounds in just mere two months following the rule:
Burn more calories that you ingest. It is applying engineering to our daily diet.
Take the breakfast as Prince
Take your lunch as King
Take your dinner as a beggar
You do not have to avoid to eat all the dietary groups, but try not to ingest much sugar and refined bread. Do not quit to eat what you always eat, but reduce gradually size of portions.
And mainly I walked. I worked through the week but saturdays and sundays were dedicated only to walk. I walked around 10 miles on Saturdays and around 20 miles Sundays. DO NOT RUN just walk.
At the beginning I did not notice any change but from third week and so on I began to lose weight reaching the goal of 25 pounds.
If you keep this level of physical activity and your normal reduced diet I guess It can work, but first of all, I strongly recommend you to visit your doctor to know if you can do it as I told you.
Each person is different and what can work for someone maybe is not useful to others.
Good luck!
P.S. I am male and 38 years old.

Dieting with exercise is an effective approach to weight loss. Hunger is curbed with regular exercise. You become hungry when your blood sugar level drops quickly. During exercise, your body metabolizes fat into the bloodstream. Your muscles use proportionately more fat and do not take as much sugar out of the bloodstream, thus your blood sugar level does not fluctuate as much. Your body absorbs fewer calories because food passes through the intestinal tract quickly. For several hours after exercise, your body continues to burn calories.
Dieting without exercise is not an effective weight control program. Muscle is lost as well as fat. Approximately 25% of weight reduction through dietary restriction is due to loss of muscle tissue. If after dieting, more calories are taken in than are used, the subsequent weight gain is due to the increase in only fat. As a result, body composition will have proportionately more fat than before dieting.
Losing weight is simply a matter of burning more calories than you take in. Nutrition is an important factor in deciding whether or not you are physically fit.
You should do 30-40 minutes of aerobic exercise (dancing, jogging, swimming, bicycling, jumping rope, etc.) at least 3 times a week (3 to stay healthy, more to lose weight).
Good luck!! Hope this helps

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

I ate a lot of low calorie frozen dinners and salads. Ate fruit when I wanted a snack. Breakfast was usually a slim fast shake or bar. I also started walking. Slow and short distances at first and then faster and longer distances later. Ended up walking about 3 miles a night and jogging part of it. Also joined Curves. Was pretty embarrassed to go at first, but when I got there for the most part we were all in the same boat. It was kind of fun, but I ended up getting pretty bored with it after a while. It's the same thing over and over and over. Ended up buying some resistance bands and working out at home. It's hard work, but worth it. I lost 80 pounds in about 8 months. Just remember, sometimes your going to fall off your diet, and when you do it's OK. Just remember to get back on it. Good Luck.

I will let you in a little secret that Weight Watchers will never want you to know.
It's really a simple idea but it is tried and true and is really the ONLY way to lose weight. Eat less and exercise more. That's it. It's that simple.
The physics of it are simple too. You take in a certain number of calories a day by eating and drinking. As long as you burn more calories than you take in, you WILL lose weight.

You should exercise more often. Start off with three days a week of running, jogging, walking briskly, pilates, yoga, hiking, biking, exercise DVDs, buy fitness magazines, or visit www.fitness.com and www.shape.com for exercise ideas and workouts. Try to eat healthier. Keep a food journal. Don’t get discouraged when you eat something bad. That usually leads to bingeing and overeating. Try to eat healthier. Eat more fruits, veggies, whole wheat bread, and whole grain. Stay away from sugary foods (cakes, pies, cookies, pop tarts, candy), junk food (pizza, chips), and sodas. Try to drink only water. Don’t skip meals that could slow your metabolism. Try to eat about 1200 calories a day. Always have a healthy breakfast, no sugary cereals, have oatmeal or a healthy cereal instead. Eat more salads for lunch and dinner. Good luck!!!!

Weight watchers has worked for me. Try to eat 5-7 servings of fruits and veges and drink 6-8 glasses of water. Limit your soda and alcohol intake. Excerise at least 30 minutes 3 times a week to start and work up to more days and longer time. It's easy, simple stuff, that hardest part is motivating yourself. Try putting pictures or motivations quotes on the fridge and cabinets. Anything to distract you from food.

Try doing little things like taking the stairs & not having that extra piece of whatever.
You should do something that will get you heart rate up like walking at a fast pace. If you belong to a gym the treadmill is good.
After raising your heart rate & keeping it up for about 15 minutes, do some sit ups, & weigh lifting to tone & build muscle. It's better to do less weight with more reps.

don't take any diet pills, they are a scam and are unhealthy for you. all they do is speed up your heart rate, which could overexert it and lead to heart failure. and if they're not dangerous then they are just useless- it probably says to "use with proper diet and exercise." all you need to do is diet and exercise, thats the natural healthy way. eat small meals when you're hungry, dont snack and eat huge meals because you wont be able to tell when you're full. ge t a minumum of a half hour of physical exercise a day. good luck!

I have 5 kids and after the birth of each one I walked alot!!!! I have always got back down fairly quick. I Enjoy taebo tapes and my kids like to join in and sometimes just watch. I walk with them in the summer nights and roller blade. Start walking it is fun, and it clears your head. For a boost if you can survive-I did but it is hard-try the hollywood diet to get you started. You drink only this liquid for 2 days and can loose up to ten pounds. I lost 7 but it was enough to get me started. If you can find someone who will exercise with you I think it is easier. Best of Luck.
