spend your hard earned money on good quality food sources of protein instead. your body uses food much more efficiently than supplements, and as for side effects, who knows. some of the supplements havent been used long enough yet to know for certain.

Honestly, I would leave it alone. I avoid supplements. A few years back I went from 185 to 225 in 3 months, doubled my bench, tripled my squat, and tripled my military press by simply eating more protein and putting allot of effort into a good strength training routine. I don't mean I consumed bad tasting protein powders, I just ate more meat, eggs, fish. I'm thinking of shooting for 265 and a 600+ pound bench and military press. Again, I'll try to do it without supplements. Hopefully at damn near 40 I can get there.

The thing I noticed was that all of the supplements seem to disclaim, in one form or another, on their labels that their products are not required by the FDA to be tested to prove their claims. This also means that they are not tested for any negative side effects.

I haven't, but a friend of mine did. It helped him a lot. He appears to be fine with no visible side effects.
