I would like to get a tattoo on the inner wrist of both arms. However, I have very large, protruding veins. Would this pose as a problem?

I want the same thing done. I heard that you could get ink poisoning.

I dont have the vein issues but I have a tattoo on my inner wrist on 1 arm and 1 on the top of my wrist on the other arm. No ink poison or any threats to my health.

Plenty of people have tattoos over veins. A tattoo goes in between the layers of the skin. Your veins are below the layers that the ink goes into. If they hit a vein, the machine is set up WAY wrong, and is being used improperly. Give a call to a local artist, and they can explain more if you want.

Happy inking!

OK, it will not hurt any thing, it will only give you a little more pain than normal. The only way it could do any serious damage would be if, 1- you get a lot of shading 2- if the tattooist is stupid and reuses a needle, or 3- if you have any special allergies that may respond to the ink.
So it is a ten to one chance that something will go wrong.
GO FOR IT!

well i have a tattoo on my inner wrist as well as my two best friends and we are alive and do not have ink poisoning..i also have a tattoo on my foot where a lot of my veins pop out and are kinda big but im fine so i dont think its a problem. if any thing ask the artist if it is ok to place one there..go to a place where you have heard great things about..and make sure they have a clean needle(fresh out the baggie) if your still not comfortable with the answers you got here on yahoo!answers ask your doctor if he would think it would be ok..

As long as the artist knows what they are doing you will be fine. If the artist goes to deep in the skin then there could be a problem. I have one there but I don't have huge veins. I have seen many people that do and they are fine.

It could. They would either have to tattoo around it or completely ignore that area. Good grief, you don't want to nik an artery. Good luck.
